HOSTED SYSTEM
A hosted system is where the entire application is hosted for the club or school, by Book A Flight, on our
Intenet infrastructure. This arrangement is commonly known as SAAS (Software As A Service)
Advantages:
- Deployment: A full copy of the system can be deployed and ready for use in a matter of days.
- Hardware Cost: The client does not need to provide any server hardware, nor associated
infrastructure (for example backup power facilities). The Book A Flight infrastructure is hosted in a
secure Internet Datacentre with redundant equipment and full generator backup power.
- Reliability: The client does not need to look after system backups, nor monitor any aspects of
the system. All of this will be managed by members of the Book A Flight staff.
Disadvantages:
The client will require a reliable Internet connection. In the event that the client is unable to
connect to the Internet, the booking system will be unavailable.
