Lists

This page would be edited by Administrators only. It comprises a set of tables, where each table contains the entries for one of the drop down lists available in the system. If you need new entries added to any of the lists please contact Book A Flight.

Booking Types

This contains a list of the available booking types for your installation of the system. You can enable / disable booking types using the "Active" tickboxes and you can move types up and down the list using the "Move" arrows.

Instruction Types

This contains a list of the available instruction types for your installation of the system. You can enable / disable instruction types using the "Active" tickboxes and you can move types up and down the list using the "Move" arrows.

Flight Types

This contains the types of flights that the installation knows about. This list typically contains Intro flights, AbInitio, Charter, Instrument rating, etc.

In this list, the only item that is critically important is the Intro Flight. This MUST have a Key of INTRO for the system to price Intro Flights at a flat rate. All other flight types are priced on a flight duration basis.

Instruction Payment Types

This list contains the types of instruction payment available. Available types are as follows.

• D = Direct - payment is made by the student Directly to the instructor. I.e. payment for instruction does NOT reflect on the invoice
• C = Club / School - Prices for instruction / briefing are included in the invoices and attract VAT if a VAT rate exists in the siteconfig entries
• L = Levy - Levy charged at SCHOOL_LEVY_RATE (as a % - value from siteconfig entries) on instruction ex VAT amounts - there IS VAT on instruction
• M = Mixed mode - Levy charged at SCHOOL_LEVY_RATE (as a % - value from siteconfig entries) on instruction ex VAT amounts - there is NO VAT on instruction (i.e. school collects instruction fees to pay over to instructors, but instructors are not vat registered and do not add VAT to their portion of the total
• N = Levy by value - Levy is charged at SCHOOL_LEVY_RATE (as Rands per hour) on Instruction - there IS VAT on the instruction time.

(If you wish to use an instruction payment type from this list that is not available in your installation please contact Book A Flight to have it added)

Membership Types

This contains a list of available membership types for your installation. You can enable / disable membership types using the "Active" tickboxes and you can move types up and down the list using the "Move" arrows. If you need a new membership type added please contact Book A Flight. Please note that each active membership type gives rise to a new set of pricing entries against each aircraft. In other words, membership types are fundamentally used to control the rate charged for each of your aircraft.

License Types

This is a list of available licenses currently held by a pilot.

Flight Types

This is a list of flight types offered by your school / organisation. These are chosen during flight authorisation and are for statistical / reporting purposes only.

Cancellation Reasons

This is a list of reasons for cancelling a booking, and are stored against the booking and included in reports from the system.

Training Phases

This is a list of training phases offered in your copy of the system. These are used by Instructors, on their "Students" menu option, to track student progress and targets.
